English Translation:

69. Hadith: Abu Dhar Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah ﷺ told us: When one of you become angry while standing, he should sit down. If his anger subsides, well and good; otherwise he should lie-down. (Abu Dawud: 4782)

Note: The Hadith implies that changing a posture which gives greater peace of mind should be adopted, so that the harm of anger is minimised. The possibility of harm becomes less while sitting than in a standing position, and even less while lying. (Mazahir-e-Haque)

Urdu-English Transliteration:

69. Hadees: Hazrat Abu Zarr Raziyallahu 'anhu se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah ﷺ ne irshaad farmaaya: Jab tum mein se kisi ko ghussa aaye aur wo khada ho to usko chahiye ke baith jaye agar baithne se ghussa chala jaye (to theek hai) warna usko chahiye ke lait jaye. (Abu Dawud: 4782)

Faida: Hadees shareef ka matlab ye hai ke jis haalat ki tabdeeli se zehan ko sukoon mile us haalat ko ikhtiyaar karna chahiye taake ghussa ka nuqsaan kum se kum ho. baithne ki haalat mein khade hone se kam aur laitne mein baithne se kam nuqsaan ka imkaan hai. (Mazahir-e-Haq)
